Forget "Kick, Pushing", there's a new kind of skateboard afoot. The HUVr is promoted in the video below as a new technologically advanced board that allows you to float through the air as a skateboarder would on land. Star athletes and musical artists like Moby, Terrell Owens and Schoolboy Q also tried out the new toy.
However, this may be a cruel prank. With all of the hoopla over the viral videos came the naysayers that pointed out a few inconsistencies in the research and potential hidden props in the video.
Then, Tony Hawk had this to say...
So it seems we were all mislead. :-/ There apparently won't be any HUVrs in our near future, nor will we have to worry about not accidentally hitting a hoverboarder on the way to work in the morning. Guess the jokes on us, or is it? Only time (and this website) will tell.
