More About Nothing: Bad Decisions, Good Intentions

Bad Decisions, Good Intentions

♫♪ “Turn up the lights in here baby. Extra bright, I want you to see this. Turn up the lights In here baby. You know what I need want you to see everything want you to see all the lights. Bad decisions, good intentions man I’m riding”♫♪ Drake – All of the Lights

Let me start by saying I am the Queen B of making bad decisions with good intentions. I met this guy Antonio on a double date I went on with my cousin. We vibed and he seemed down to earth so I gave him a second chance. We decided to link up at Outback because it was near my job. Usually I have a central rule no chain restaurants on the first few dates but I made an exception because I wasn't prepared for an upscale restaurant. That was the first bad decision, going against my rules. The second bad decision was going to the very Outback that my ex works at. I digress!

We met in the parking lot and proceeded to walk towards the restaurant and suddenly a black expedition is pulling off towards us slowly.  I see the window roll down, immediately my guard goes up and I’m like God please don’t let no bs happen tonight. I just can’t! All I hear is “Uh huh (ratchet voice) Tonio, I know you ain’t out here with these bitches and you supposed to have my son.” First I stopped and pondered why do I continue to make bad decisions. I turned to look at Antonio to see his reaction of the whole situation. Surprisingly, he was mad calm but seemed annoyed. He walks over to her and tries to diffuse the situation. The driver of the car was trying to tell the ratchetta to calm down and get back in the car. ‘Rachetta’ proceeds to yell out the window “He’s cheap! That’s the best he can do, take you to outback!”  I proceed to walk towards the restaurant, shaking my head and telling myself I am going to order the strongest drink Outback has to offer.

Antonio catches up with me and apologizes continuously. He explains to me that was his ex-wife-baby momma #1. He goes on and on about how they are through.  Upon my pre-investigation I already knew of the baby momma(s).  He tells me her attitude is one of the main reasons why they’re through.  I guess it was better to find out now rather than later. I should have ran soon as the car pulled up but instead I was hungry, bored and needed a good stiff drink. The best thing that I got from the two hour conversation about his baby momma(s) drama was he is an amazing single father. The rest is Charlie Brown womp, womp, womp. Through all of his talking I’m only sipping on a sprite because they are out of Jack Daniels. How can this be any worse of a date??  His card is declined and I’m pulling out my wallet paying for this date from HELL!!!!!!!
