More about nothing: My Funny Valentine

My Funny Valentine

♪♫ My funny valentine, sweet comic like valentine, you make me smile with my heart, your looks are laughable, un-photographable, yet your my favorite work of art ♪♫

So I had a very interesting weekend. Valentine’s Day wasn’t as bad as I thought it would have been. I actually was looking forward to it .My valentine was my best friend GlaMa. Ironically in the love department we live in the same valley. We share similar thoughts, views and opinions on our mental, emotional and physical views on where we are with being ready for love. We decided to take love and living our best single life by the horns and ride its deep crazy waves. We went to a singles mixer in the city. We were under the impression that people would be in our age range. It definitely was false advertisement. I’m talking 35 and ticking honey. Usually the 30’s and up crowd woudn’t bother me seeing as though I don’t know how to mix and mingle with people my age. I feel like we have a nothing in common. It’s almost as if I have the mindset of a 35 year old trapped in a 25 year old body. We met a few characters at the event. The 1st character was a weird guy named Bixby. The name alone sounds like a cornball. No shade! This guy was the total package cornball, creep and asshole. Throughout the whole 15 minute conversation between us and my best friend he never once looked at our faces. He literally kissed my hand and looked at my ass. I was too done. I looked from left to right, front to back at this pitiful, desperate and hopeless crowd for an inkling of potential. The very few potential guys I had spotted left and went home with the Jews. BLOWN!!!Then I met Shea, a breath of fresh air. The conversation went great. A few laughs, sips and then wait for it ….I exhaled. (In my Savannah voice; Whitney Houston’s character in Waiting to Exhale) He was definitely not what I expected. Who would have knew that this middle aged white divorced man could even remotely mentally stimulate me. He gave me his business card and we said our goodnights. And all in all… it was a good night.
